Steady steady now… A few articles ago I wrote that “The November 2016 American election would make history!”And that it did!
Now I know some people have already disregarded this post from the title before getting into it but I knew the title would get more attention than I hoped. I also feel that now a racist, sexist and bigot man has been elected president, we might as well accept it and explore the reasons why I can believe Trump may be a good president for the so called ‘land of the free’.
We are now very likely to see a few more racial and or violent episodes towards blacks, Hispanics, Muslims, women, LGBT, etc. … heck anything that doesn’t make America great again. But and there is also a but… things will die down and people will begin to accept the news and just get on with lives the best they can.
What else can you do?! Nothing!
I do believe that in any situation try and seek the best.
Now for the reasons….
With Trump, what you see is what you get…
I favour people like this. There are no dark corners or surprises because you know exactly where you stand with such people.
Although, Hillary Clinton appears to be the better choice (emphasis on appears) there is something incredibly untrustworthy and in my opinion, fake about her. Whilst I may be saying this with a women’s intuition, after watching the documentary 13th it did back up my assumption which is: she had not one genuine bone in her body.
She has called black people “predators” and “monsters”. Then there are the endless email scandals. I mean why was she using a personal email – none of it made any sense. I believe that her policies and her campaign techniques struggled because she didn’t look in the mirror and analyse herself and target the people of her nature. Instead her campaign was done all wrong which inevitably cost her the election.
Whereas Trump on the other hand, went to town … yes he spoke to the people that for so long have either been ignored or are usually ignored in elections. What I’m trying to say is that he didn’t shy away from the extremists and he was blunt and very upfront about it. He was so good in what he was doing that he even managed to get the attention of people that hated him. This invertible won him the election, by giving him the attention, they only gave Trump a platform and made him by far more noticeable. Trump is now noticed for his ill-mannered utterances and although it may not be the policies you want it will defiantly be heard by people that do want it. Therefore, making Trump a good President for his country.
No politician keeps their promises…
I like this one. Please name one person in your life that has kept a promise talk less of a politician that has kept to their manifesto or policies. (David Cameron: doesn’t count that he was forced to hold the referendum and when it didn’t go his way, he bailed). I can’t see how Trump will be able to kick all Muslims out. His statements “let’s make America great again” doesn’t mean anything in my opinion. So, whatever Trump means by this statement I don’t know and I can bet my last dollar that he doesn’t know either! Half the things Trump has said he is going to do may not even come to light (well I hope so) and if they do what can be done if it’s already been put in place?
American politics is pure entertainment.
I have said this time and time again; politics is no longer for the people and by the people.
It is purely for entertaining the soul! It’s about the reactions you and I give to them on any of our social media platforms. If you are reading this, I’m sure you have spoken about Trump. It has been stated that Trump has been negatively tweeted more 262 times per a minute. You and I both know that if you’re not spoken about you’re not important/relevant. We all played into the culture of political entertainment. You and I have made Trump important/relevant hence he not only won the presidential election, he will also continue getting a reaction from us as president.
He doesn’t stand a chance implementing many of his policies.
This may be slightly confusing. So, do bear with me. You remember Obamacare? Do you remember how long that took to go through both the House and the Senate (which are both seen as being equally important to the effectiveness of the president) and even then, there was still major flaws – requiring new reforms. This is exactly what may happen with Trump’s policies – despite the Republicans controlling both Houses. Nothing’s going to change especially as the different institutions, strategies and policies have never ever changed in America!
Because Donald Trump said so…
“I will be the greatest jobs president that God ever created, I tell you that. I’ll bring back our jobs from China, from Japan, from Mexico and from so many places. I’ll bring back our money. … Sadly, the American dream is dead. But if I get elected president, I will bring it back bigger and better and stronger than ever before, and we will make America great again.”
Speak things into existing and trust me it will come to pass.
I’m not saying his is going to be the greatest president who ever lived because in my young adult life, I’m yet to see the best leader for either the UK or the USA. What I am saying is this… the damage has now been done and I guess we just have to wait and see just how much more damage can still be done!
